Taruddin Ismail, the father of singing sensation Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, died of heart complications at the Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital yesterday. He was 67.
The retired policeman died at 10.45pm, three days after being admitted following his collapse at his house in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.
Siti’s sister-in-law and manager Rozi Abd Razak said Taruddin had complained of chest pains before collapsing.
She said he underwent a bypass on Friday and was in a coma since the operation.
