Siti brings back sweet memories of P. Ramlee
Datuk Siti Nurhaliza dazzling the crowd with her rendition of songs by the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Puan Sri Saloma.
KUALA LUMPUR: It was an evening of evergreen tunes at Konsert Istana Cinta Nostalgia Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Puan Sri Saloma by Datuk Siti Nurhaliza.
The show at Istana Budaya here last night was a tribute to the songs popularised by the late celebrity couple.
Siti sang more than 30 songs over two hours with her guests Mimi Loma, Musly and Fazli Zainal, which also included music from P. Ramlee’s popular movies.
Among the songs were Manusia, Tiru Macam Saya, Merak Kayangan, Istana Cinta, Tunggu Sekejap, Sekapur Sireh, and Di Manakan Ku Cari Ganti.
The show was interspersed with video footage of P. Ramlee films.
They included a famous argument scene in his comedy Masam-Masam Manis where Siti delivered the line on stage with P. Ramlee via recorded video playback.
Veteran actor Aziz Sattar, who had starred in P. Ramlee movies, also kept the audience in stitches with anecdotes behind some of the songs.
A popular comedy group, Isketambola, also performed a sketch from P. Ramlee’s comedy Nasib Si Labu Labi.
The show was accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Addie Marzuki.
There will be another show today at the same venue.

baguslah kerana sudah mula mempelajari ilmu biologi, tapi alangkah eloknya kalau sirap menggunakan bulu rujukan yang tepat..
kalau tak jumpa, ambillah buku teks sains darjah satu… sekurang kurang nya fakta nya tepat..
cuba bayangka apa terjadi jika tulisan sirap ini di baca oleh adik sirap, mesti dia tertanya tanya… samada sirap ni lulus atau gagal subjek sains…
