KUANTAN: Singer Datin Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin has been made a Datuk in conjunction with Sultan Ahmad Shah’s 76th birthday today.

She will receive the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP), along with prominent designers Bernard Chandran and Dayang Fatimah Tom Abang Saufi.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will receive the Darjah Kerabat Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Di Hormati (DK) — the highest award for a commoner.

They are among 915 recipients of state honours who will be conferred awards at an investiture ceremony at the Istana Abu Bakar in Pekan on Saturday.

Seventeen people will receive the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP), six the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP), 17 the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP), one the honorary DSAP and 79 the DIMP. The SSAP carries the title “Datuk Seri” while the others carry the title “Datuk”.

Ten will receive the Setia Ahmad Shah (SAP), 54 the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) , 45 the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP), 146 the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP), 114 the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC), one the Pingat Gagah Perkasa (PGP), 101 the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) and 323 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK).

Those receiving the SSAP include Cik Puan Muda Cik Julita Aishah Abdul Latif, the wife of the Tengku Muda Pahang Tengku Abdul Rahman.

Others are Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad, Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan, Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shariff Omar and Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Datuk Richard Malanjum.

The award also goes to Works Ministry director-general Datuk Wahid Omar, Customs director-general Datuk Abdul Rahman Abd Hamid, Foreign Ministry secretary-general Datuk Rastam Mohd Isa, RMAF deputy chief Left Jen Datuk Azizan Ariffin, lawyer Datuk Andrew Kam Tai Yeow, Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad deputy executive chairman Datuk Wan Zaki Wan Muda, Tenaga Nasional Berhad president/CEO Datuk Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Celcom Malaysia Berhad CEO Datuk Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, Affin Bank Berhad managing director/CEO Datuk Abdul Hamidy Abdul Aziz, National Sports Council board member Datuk Abdullah Hishan Mohd Hashim and Pahang Chinese Chamber of Commerce deputy president Datuk Lim Ah Chap.

The recipients of the SIMP are Entrepreneur Development and Co-operatives Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Pahang State Assembly Speaker Datuk Wan Mohamad Razali Wan Mahussin, Kuantan Judicial Commissioner Datuk Abd Halim Aman, Police Internal Security and Public Order director Datuk Mustafa Abdullah, Police Commercial Crime CID director Datuk Ramli Yussuff and RMAF operations chief Left Jen Datuk Bashir Abu Bakar.

Recipients of the DSAP include Pahang State Secretary Datuk Wan Abdullah Wan Salleh, state police chief Datuk Abdul Razak Bokhari, Immigration director-general Wahid Md Don, Universiti Kuala Lumpur president/CEO Prof Dr Abdul Halim Juri, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa deputy rector Associate Prof Dr Mohd Azmi Omar and Proton Holdings Berhad managing director Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamad Tahir.

The sole recipient of the honorary DSAP is Grand Hyatt Singapore general manager Willi B. Martin.

Others receiving the DIMP are Welfare Department director-general Rafek Reshidullah, Information Department deputy director-general Adilah Shek Omar, Finance Minister’s political secretary Reezal Merican Naina Merican and Istana Budaya director-general Azhar Abu Bakar.

Berita Harian reporter Rosli Abdul Jalil and Bernama bureau chief Mohd Shukri Ishak will receive the AMP while Harian Metro stringer Asrol Awang and RTM cameraman Abdul Hadi Mohamad will get the PKC.
