Mr Indra Shahril Mohd Salleh, 32, is believed to have been stabbed to death.

Popular singer Siti Nurhaliza is said to have been one of his clients.

Johor Baru (South) CID chief Deputy Superintendant (DSP) Md Nazri Zawawi told The Star that police arrived at shop after being alerted.

‘We discovered the body lying face down with at least 10 stab wounds on his back and a slash mark on the nape of his neck,’ he said.

FOUGHT BACK

According to DSP Nazri, initial investigations suggest that the victim was attacked by more than one person and had put up a fight, judging by the wounds on his right arm.

Police also believe Mr Indra Shahril might have known his assailants because there were no signs of forced entry.

‘The victim’s Proton GEN-2 and wallet are missing and police have not ruled out the possibility of robbery as a motive for the murder,’ said DSP Nazri.

The New Straits Times said that Mr Indra Shahril, who had been running the shop for nearly two years, lived on the premises.

Over the years, he is said to have helped plan events for singers and other celebrities.
